Antoine Blondeau is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of AIQ. A seasoned entrepreneur and investor, Antoine has 25 years of experience in the technology industry, having held senior leadership positions at Good Technology, Salesforce.com and Sybase. Antoine is also the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Alpha Intelligence Capital (AIC), AIQ’s affiliated venture capital fund of USD 185 million. This entrepreneurs-led, entrepreneurs-invested fund invests in AI companies from all over the globe and across the startups’ maturity cycle, with a focus on early to mid-stage.
Antoine’s career highlights leading Dejima as CEO, the company that powered DARPA’s foundational CALO (Cognitive Assistant that Learns and Organizes) project that later evolved into Apple’s Siri. Antoine was also Chief Operating Officer of Zi Corporation, whose predictive text software was embedded in hundreds of millions of devices. He was also the Co-Founder of Sentient Technologies, one of the most advanced AI platform companies in the US.
Throughout his career he has started and scaled businesses, delivered on fund-raising, M&A and restructuring activities, as well as on strategic licensing and OEM agreements. He is a hands-on leader, with a strong innovative streak, a liking for operational challenges, and a record of success in competitive environments and markets.
Antoine is also a personal investor, Board Member and Advisor in a number of technology companies in the US, Greater China, and Europe. He is an Advisor to Pictet & Cie and to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR)
Antoine holds an MBA from the Paris Graduate School of Management (ESCP) and has studied at Chuo University in Tokyo. He is the author of 6 patents.
